1. Eligibility and Documentation: To rent a car, you must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license held for a minimum of one year. A valid identity card or passport and a bank card are also required at the time of rental.
2. Rental Period: The rental period is calculated on a 24-hour basis from the time the vehicle is collected. Late returns may incur additional charges.
3. Insurance and Liability: All rentals include a standard insurance policy covering third-party liability. Additional insurance options are available for purchase. Customers are responsible for any damage to the rental vehicle not covered by insurance.
4. Fuel Policy: The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental. Refueling charges will apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
5. Traffic Violations and Fines: Renters are responsible for paying all traffic fines and penalties incurred during the rental period.
6. Vehicle Use Restrictions: The rented vehicle may not be used for off-road driving, racing, or any illegal purposes. Renters are expected to use the vehicle responsibly and adhere to all traffic laws.
7. Payment and Deposits: Payment for rental services is required at the time of vehicle collection. A security deposit may also be required, which will be refunded upon the safe return of the vehicle.
8. Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation policies and any applicable refunds will be outlined at the time of booking. Please refer to your rental agreement for specific details.
9. Amendments to Terms: Athens Rental reserves the right to amend these terms of service without prior notice. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing Law: These terms of service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece.
